  25.   For LW, it does what Arexx did, providing a scripting language to
  26. access the program's functions.  Since Windows doesn't have a universal
  27. scripting language for end-user use (Visual Basic doesn't quite do it,
  28. nor do I see programs providing "access ports" for easy external
  29. programming), BML won't (yet) work on other applications.

  31.   Arexx on the Amiga was created by Bill Hawes, and marketed directly to
  32. end users and developers.  As more and more applications included
  33. support for it, Commodore decided to buy it and incorporate it into the
  34. OS.  Most important, useful applications grew Arexx programming ports,
  35. and writing macros became easy.  You didn't have to learn a new lauguage
  36. for each application, and you could access more than one application
  37. from a single script.  If BML (or any other scripting language) could be
  38. made to do that in Windows, it would be great.  But simply having good
  39. scripting/macros in LW is immensely useful.
